πŸ“ Day summary
Memory of the day

Got our bearings at the conference learning about sustainable land/animal use on small homesteads and ate some food truck food, but the big day of sessions for us is tomorrow. After an afternoon nap we headed next door to the indoor water park. Kids had a blast at the splash pad and in the wave pool, and the older two tackled the water slides with great excitement. I enjoyed the hot tub.

Grateful for

So thankful to not be in the car for more than a few minutes.

Memory of the day

Today we deviated from our National Parks tour to attend a 2-day Homesteading Conference in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We have so much to learn about growing/raising/preserving things along our homesteading journey, so it was such a gift to sit under the tutelage of veterans in the field and grow in our knowledge and have access to resources and be encouraged!!

β€œFor as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

Isaiah 55:10-11

PS - The kids grew too today - braving water slides and wave pool and water playground at the indoor waterpark connected to our hotel!!
